Don't Freak Out...

...I'm actually posting to my blog. Has hell frozen over? Are pigs flying?

Yes, its been a while. Busy, busy, busy. School started August 6. I actually kinda like working every-other-day. I especially like the weeks I work only Tues-Thurs. Those are wonderful weeks. :) My classes are pretty good. My first period class is full of juvenile delinquents, nut hey...its 1st period. It ends at 10:05 and from then on, the day is great. There are four class periods a day, each 90 minutes long. One class period is planning, though, and fortunately I have my lunch break right beforehand, so I ended up with two hours of planning time. Woohoo! This allows me to get everything done during the day so I can leave as soon as possible every day. By 4:00 I am dying to get home to my not-so-baby boy and hug on him as much as I can before he goes to bed. So far, Chris is hanging in there and things are working pretty well.

This week was Fall Break. We went to Gatlinburg for a few days and that was fun. I took lots of pictures....One of these days I'll download them to the computer and maybe even post a few here.

Andrew is growing and changing so much every day. He loves to climb everything, and today I caught him moving the dining room chairs so he could climb on top of the table. We also spent 30 minutes today climbing up and down the stairs. He refuses to go down backwards. He wants to go down just like we do, which scares the crap out of me. He talks quite a bit now and his favorite game is anything that has to do with a ball. He says "ball" ALL.THE.TIME. We bought him a basetball goal today and he loves it. He had his 18-month appt last week and weighed 23 lbs and was 30.5 inches tall. Still my peanut, still the love of my life.

Chris and I are doing OK. The stress of starting this new church, raising a toddler, me going back to work and Chris providing full care for Andrew on the days I work has pushed us to the edge. We had a huge fight today and we were both jerks. (Me being a much bigger jerk.) Chris works from home so even on the days I'm here, he's still distracted by Andrew and me. I try to get him out of the house when I'm home so Chris can get stuff done and have some alone time, but sometimes it just doesn't happen or isn't enough. Sigh. I don't know. I never knew marriage and parenthood could be so wonderful/stressful/exhausting/exhilerating all at the same time.
